MAY YOU REST IN PEACE JASON  / Josette Jacelon-Baptiste (Vierer & Friend )  Read >>
MAY YOU REST IN PEACE JASON  / Josette Jacelon-Baptiste (Vierer & Friend )

Jason's name was called in our house as if her lived here with us. Anytime our son got a cultural project and I needed help, Jason was always our guidance.

I eventually met Jason, just after New Years of this year, we chatted  for about 4 hours at the Nursing Home, it was as if we know each other personally and for a long, long time.  It was one of the most beautiful moments in my life. When I was ready to leave after spending about 2 hours with him, chatting about anything your could think about, I expected he would have been tired, he said, "can you stay a little longer, I would love for you to meet my mother. I love her dearly, and she is expected to be here soon."

I met Jason's mom and best friend that day. I thank God that I took up Jason's invitation, because I called him every day at the Nursing Home, to go look for him that day. I can not express how sad and empty I feel about his passing, each time I think about him, I a tear come to my eye. But my comfort is that he is no longer in pain and is probable hosting his own show already.

To Jason's mom, I would like you to know that he loved you very much. He told me he cherished every moment he had with you.
Jason may you rest in peace.

I love you Jason,

Josette

Firstly I want to extend my condolence to your family. May God continue to shine his light upon your family and heal your broken hearts.
Jason was a wonderful person.. he was my like my big brother to alot of people grow up with him. He thought me so much as well as his community. You were the biggest clown I knew lol, always goofin around. WHen it was time to get serious you were. Jason you knew how to make someones day brighter even though you had your own trials to bear. I always will remember that smile and your silly ways. The youth group, My and alot of others are still in disbelief. I feel like is a horrible dream, that just needs to be corrected. Your just another angel that God needs on his team. However God doesn't make mistakes. You had a purpose to fullfil you did so and now he wants you home with him. Your in a better place.. Keep that light shining. . I LOVE U FOREVER.. Jason Daly.. May your soul R I P.

I Never Knew  / Arlele Hall

I remember Tuesday night watching Gayelle's calypso competition and seeing the notice of Jason's death. I literally felt a sudden chill and coldness, I could not believe it.

I never knew Jason was ill, and this is largely because of him. He never presented to Trinidad and Tobago that he was ill or had any problems. He was always positive and that was the first thing that captured me. You know sometimes you see people and they are in a position of trying to make you feel happy and positive, not realizing that they are struggling with something greater than what you might be going through.

To those who knew Jason personally, his immediate family and his professional family, you have had the opportunity to know a young man (which is very rare), who has exuded the qualities that make you believe again that there are good people still on this earth.

I am deeply saddened by this news and I pray that his loved ones, especially his children would remember and live in honour of their remarkable father.

Please accept my deepest, deepest condolences.

A. Hall

I only just last week got the link to your new live stream and was pleased to be connected with Gayelle again even from Missouri.  I wish to extend sincere and warmest condolences to Jason's family and to his Gayelle family.  I always appreciated his warm and sincere manner and his great interviews.  We've lost a role model but we must be thankful for the wonderful opportunity of being blessed by his life. Jason and I were not really close friends but since we both worked in the media, I met him on assignments on several occasions.
He was always very pleasant, always smiling.. even when you listened to him on the radio, there was always a smile in his voice. I would like to offer my condolences to his family and to say that even though he is no longer here physically, his spirit will always be here with us and his legacy lives on! Stay strong!

Jason was a person who had exceed many of our expectations, I guess that's why he will be greatly missed...

From just watching Macajuel Time he brought forward the gifts that God wanted him to give to many of us and that's love, fun, caring, kindness, and by bringing out our culture he bought out these things.

While being home I watch an episode where he had interviewed Onika Bostic  another Angel on earth who was taken away for greater purposes, and also, the episode he did when she died, and although he was shaken up by the news he was strong and brave enough to do an episode for Onika Bostic...

Now I know she's glad to see him at heaven's gate as their never forgetting talents will be combined to fulfill their new journey. May they rest in peace.... They are gone but will never be forgotten...

I remember a few years ago Jason hosted the entertainment segment of a Special Schools Sports Day. I heard the voice, so crisp and clear and my eyes were drawn to the stage to realise 'Oh is Jahsor from Gayelle.' I was awed by his presentation skills. I was able to view 'Macajuel Time' a few times and was always amused as well as captured by his style in dealing with guests and us viewers.
May God, who is forever good, comfort Jason's family, and may his soul rest in peace.   Close

Thank you Jason for little things
That you did unexpectedly
To brighten up dreary days
That dawned so dismally!

Thank you Jason for brushing away
The dark clouds from our minds
And leaving only sunshine
And joy of hearts behind!

Jason the list is endless
Of things to thank you for
That people often took for granted
And unconsciously ignored…

But with everything you did or say
Each movement that you made
Each measured rhythmic heart beat
Each breath of life you did take
Is something we are thankful for…
And can in no way repay.

Thank you Jason…Rest in peace my brother!

Jason and I were very good friends for a long time. Although we lived in different countries, our bond still remained. These words are so fitting for what's in my heart, and what I feel. From the time I heard the news I kept hearing this song over and over in my head :

"Sorry I never told you
All I wanted to say
And now it's too late to hold you
'Cause you've flown away
So far away
Never had I imagined
Living without your smile
Feeling and knowing you hear me
It keeps me alive
Alive
And I know you're shining down on me from heaven
Like so many others we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day
Eventually I'll see you in heaven...
I never showed you
Assumed you'd always be there
I took your presence for granted
But I always cared
And I miss the friendship we shared
Sorry I never told you
All I wanted to say"

I'll miss you J
You'll forever be in my heart. Close

Those we love must someday pass
beyond our present sight.....
Must leave us and the world we know
without their radiant light.

But we know that like a candle
their lovely light will shine
to brighten up another place
more perfect.... more divine

And in the realm of Heaven
where they shine so warm and bright,
our loved ones live forevermore
in God's eternal light.

Rest in Peace Jason.
Peace and God's blessing to his family and friends.

As i look at your album, i think it has now sunken in that you are really gone.  I remember how well  you did the HIV/AIDS Information Fair and how lucky we felt to have you host the event.

I'm glad we took the time to stroll down memory lane. I'm happy i got to tell you how proud i was of you and all your accomplishments.  I knew you before you were who you were and yet still knew all that you wanted to be.  You looked at me and said thanks for remembering but how could i forget you told me how much you loved me as a friend and i told you the same.  You my dear had the courage to persevere and overcome all your obstacles.

I pray for your kids let them remember you and what a try to be best father you were. I know that you are now spending all the time you longed for with your first daughter and i guess that's some consolation for you, but not those you left behind. Be at peace Jason my friend and you will always be in a special place in my heart.
